Refugee to Entrepreneur Program

At Little Dragon, we believe Canada is one of the best places in the world to start a business, and it turns out we’re not the only ones.

As part of our mission in giving back to communities as an agency, we are initiating a Refugee to Entrepreneur Program.

Through this program we offer 100% free web design and marketing services to eligible refugees. If you know of anyone who has a  trade or skill or startup idea and need free web design and digital marketing services, please share this page with them. The following business verticals listed below are only a few examples of industries that can benefit from our free program, but are not limited to:

  • Event/Wedding Planners
  • Interior Designers
  • Financial and Real Estate Brokers
  • Plumbers
  • Food caterers
  • Childcare workers
  • Exterminators
  • Movers
  • Electricians
  • Home renovators
  • Appliance repairmen
  • Fitness, Diet and Healthcare Professionals
  • Interpreters/Translators
  • Retail store or restaurant owners
  • Any other trade job or craft that could benefit from a web presence!

Through this program we are offering:

  • Website design and development (5 pages, template based site)
  • Custom Logo design
  • Free hosting and domain registration (1 year)
  • Strategic phone consultation (20 minutes)
  • Google My Business profile creation & optimization
  • Social Media Channel setup (Facebook, Twitter and one more)
  • 5-Citation creation package (Yellow Pages, Yelp, Google, Facebook)

Our goal is to help refugees get back on their feet and learn to appreciate their new life in Canada. If you’re a refugee that can offer a service to the community, or know of one who can, we will help you showcase your skills to the community. Here are the requirements for eligible applicants:

  • Trade certification or credentials (if needed)
  • Proof of business registration (not required, but considered a plus)
  • Proof of refugee status
  • Resume
  • Minimum 2 professional references
  • Letter of intent (Tell us in at least 200 words why you believe you can be a successful entrepreneur)

Bruce Lee said it best

Our company’s name, Little Dragon Media, comes from Bruce Lee’s nickname in China, Xiao Long, which is Mandarin Chinese for “Little Dragon”.
