AI is now arguably the best tool for content writers. Whether you’re writing blog content, or ad copy for Google Ads, tools like Gemini or ChatGPT can help provide you with a lot of great content ideas. However, if you use the answers these tools spit out verbatim in your content, your content will surely be flagged by AI detectors, and this may affect your SEO (although no one knows for sure yet as it’s still a bit early). First, let’s compare human with AI content, then we’ll present some tips on how to humanize the content that AI spits out:
Feature: | AI Content: | Human Content: |
---|---|---|
Originality | Can generate unique content but may lack creativity or originality compared to human-written content. | Typically more original and creative, as humans can draw from personal experiences and opinions. |
Accuracy | Can be highly accurate, especially for factual information, but will likely struggle with nuances or complex topics. | Often more accurate, as humans can verify information and provide context for it. |
Contextual Understanding | May have limitations in understanding context and nuances, especially in complex or ambiguous situations. | Generally better at understanding context and nuances, leading to more engaging content. |
Creativity | Can generate creative content, but may lack the same level of imagination and originality as human writers. | More creative and able to produce highly creative content that resonates well with other humans. |
Bias | Can be biased if trained on biased data. | Can also be biased, but we humans are more likely to recognize and address biases in their writing. |
Speed | Can generate content much faster than humans. | Will take longer to produce content, especially for complex or in-depth topics. |
Consistency | Can maintain consistency in style and tone across multiple pieces of content. | May vary in style and tone depending on the writer. |
Cost | Can be more cost-effective than human content creation, especially for large volumes of content. | Can be more expensive, especially for high-quality, specialized content. |
One thing I like to do when I’m getting a large block of content from Google Gemini, ChatGPT or other, is to simply ask them to rewrite their response in a more human way, or in layman terms. I also ask AI to speak directly to the reader as if they were having a conversion. This often results in content that passed AI detectors.
AI content doesn’t typically use pronouns or talk from a first-person standpoint. If you change your AI content by adding pronouns, and talking directly to the reader, from a first-person perspective, your content will most likely sound more human and pass AI content detectors.
I only tried one of them, which I didn’t really like, as it made the content look like it was written by a non-English speaker, but there are many others out there. If you simply Google “AI to Human Text Converter” you’ll get a long list of tools you can try, although most of them will require you to purchase a plan.
Integrate sentences like “In My Opinion”, “I think”, “My thoughts about…” and others within the content. AI content never uses such sentences and will always speak in generality. These types of phrases are easy to integrate at the beginning of a sentence, and can help your content sound more human guaranteed.
Have you noticed how AI never asks questions? That’s a very human thing (for now) so make sure you integrate questions within your content. Example: Do you want to learn how to humanize your AI content? On this post, we’ll share some of our favorite tips for doing so.
Use sentences like “We understand how frustrating this can be” or “Dealing with X issue? We’ve been there and know how annoying it can be”. AI content never uses such sentences because it’s obviously NOT a humam, therefore doesn’t have feelings like we do (yet).
Although I don’t really like this strategy, I know some writers who swear by it. Simply adding little innocent mistakes here and there, like extra long sentences, or bad punctuation, will certainly make your content pass AI detectors as AI never makes mistakes. Again, I don’t recommend going this route, but I’ve heard from some writers that it works quite well.
That’s it, folks. Whether you’re using website for your new website‘s content, or for a marketing brochure, we recommend that you always give it your own touch, and follow some of the tips we outlined in this post. You want your content to connect with a human audience if you want the best results possible. If your content sounds to “robotic”, your content won’t be well-received by your audience.
